The Reason

So, the reason that I haven't (or I should say don't) blog that often is that I don't have the internet at my home any more. After my internet/cable company decided to charge me $100 a month for internet and cable TV, not the $85 it should have been, I decided the give them the axe. Seriously!?!?! $100 bucks a month! I thought that $85 was pretty steep. But, my dear friends...... I am suffering. I no longer have my third eye, I can no longer cyber stalk my friends, I no longer waste away hours of the day doing nothing but suffer the net, I no longer have a quick means to communicate with people via e-mail. I sometimes feel totally cut off, I actually have to call people or *gasp* talk to them in person!!!! I make myself suffer even more and watch fuzzy TV. Nope, no more crisp and clear channels for Wendy! I now have 5 channels instead of hundreds, even thought I didn't watch ALL 300 or so channels I had. *sigh*
LOL! Ok, ok, ok, it's not THAT bad. But I am weakening, in the back of my mind I am starting to ask oh so innocent questions. Like, "What if I reinstall my internet? BUT just the internet and not the TV?", "What if I get high speed net thru the phone line?"and so on. I currently use my dad's computer or I go to the public library. Which both are nice, especially at the library the computers there have the new windows Vista, it's very nice and speedy. ;-D But right now I would like nothing more then to use my own bathroom, slip into my pjs and just be..... home.

Hi Bird. You're not alone. Brooks and I just have a few fuzzy channels too. And, we changed our internet to a lower speed/price. So, yes, we still have internet -- but we're protesting Cox, the company who is basically a monopoly on high speed internet. I still think this cheaper/lower speed internet company we're now with is over-priced! Why do these companies feel the need to rip us off? Urg... We used the internet at our library for a while too. Cheap, but inconvenient. So...I would continue to hold out, at least against the expensive TV. =) Cheaper internet might be worth it. =)
